"I can't believe you named your cat after me," Haruka mumbled, staring at the white cat that's sitting in your lap.
"Ah, well it wasn't my idea. It was [First name]'s!" Makoto laughed a bit. "I think 'Haru' fits the cat, though, even if she's a girl."
"Nyaa~" little Haru curled up in your lap as you gently stroked the back of her fur.
You giggled as Haru got up and went outside the patio, pawing at the morning dew forming on the plants that you take care of.
"Is she going to ruin your plants?" Haruka asked.
"She hasn't yet," you shrugged, slowly getting up. Makoto immediately came over to your side, helping you up.
"Makoto, there's no need to dote on me all the time! I'm still in the early stages of my pregnancy--"
"--Which are the most critical. Your doctor doesn't want you straining yourself, especially during your first trimester!" Makoto panicked a bit as you brushed his arm away.
You chuckled, gently patting your stomach. "I may not show it yet, but I am hungry."
"Haru, are you staying for lunch?" Makoto asked, looking at his best friend.
Haruka shook his head. "You don't have any mackerel."
You rolled your eyes and laughed. "Sorry."
After Makoto and you both saw Haruka out the door, you returned to the living room and sat down comfortably on the couch. Makoto closed the sliding door as soon as Haru returned inside. The cat jumped up on the couch and mewled as she rubbed her head against your leg.
You laughed before pulling her closer to you. "You're being extra affectionate today. Don't tell me you're hungry when I just fed you about thirty minutes ago."
Makoto looked over the island counter and saw you relaxing in the living room with your cat. He smiled as he prepared a meal, making sure yours was extra special due to your slowly increasing appetite. He wanted to make sure you and the baby received all of the proper nutrients during your pregnancy.
"Makoto, that smells good," you called out, excited for the meal.
"It's almost ready," he replied, placing everything on serving platters.
He prepared the table for the two of you, looking forward to seeing your reaction.
Your eyes widened, surprised at the dishes he prepared for you.
"Well... I'm impressed," you grinned. "Then again, when haven't I?"
"[First name]," he whined a bit, blushing as you teased him. "I really hope you like it though."
You sat down across from Makoto, indulging in the warm miso soup before starting on the main course. You savored each flavor in jubilation, astonished that Makoto was able to concoct such an intricate meal in a short amount of time.
"This is seriously one of the best meals you've ever prepped," you said before drinking a mild, non-caffeinated tea.
"I'm glad," Makoto replied. He noticed Haru staring up from underneath the table, her ears perching up a bit. "Sorry Haru, but you'll have to wait until later. Maybe I'll give you a treat if you behave while we eat, okay?"
"Nyaa!" the cat happily responded, walking over to her cat bed at the foot of the couch.
You smiled while observing your husband. "I think you're going to be an amazing dad."
Makoto looked at you, surprised. "Really?"
"Yes, really. If you think about it, taking care of Haru is a learning process. Though taking care of a baby is entirely different, there's some things that we learn from taking care of a pet that we can adapt into parenthood," you nodded.
"Ah, you do strike a good point," Makoto said.
"So, do you think it's a boy or a girl?" you asked. "Honestly, I'm okay with either."
"Same here! Though like I said before, it'd be nice to have a daughter who is just like you."
"Oh? But I want a son like you," you paused for a moment. "Okay, well regardless of what we have, it'll be one of our most treasured moments."
"Nyaa!" Haru yawned out loud, almost sounding like she was agreeing with the conversation. You and Makoto both stared at each other before laughing at what just took place.
"Looks like Haru agrees, too!"
"Yeah, look like she does, even though she's suddenly taking a catnap."
"Wanna take a catnap of our own later?"
"[First name], I was hoping that we'd, uhh--y'know..."
"Makoto! Well, the doctor said it's okay so I guess we can."
"Ah, well it wasn't my idea. It was [First name]'s!" Makoto laughed a bit. "I think 'Haru' fits the cat, though, even if she's a girl."

rainy days. ( makoto tachibana )
The soft sound of rain falling was echoing in her eardrums. Whenever she stepped in a puddle some water would splash back on her legs. (Y/n) enjoyed this type of weather very much, like how the sky was all gray and looming, and how the rain smelled even. It just gave this specific scent.
Two umbrellas were bumping into each other while the rainstorm was going on. The figures walking side by side, holding up the parasols that kept them temporarily dry. The female in which was enjoying this rather gloomy atmosphere, the male on the other hand wasn't so pleased.
The girl was feeling a bit courageous so she folded her umbrella that was currently

. the terrors of the screen | Makoto Tachibana
In retrospect Makoto probably should have realised that "Halloween Movie Marathon" meant horror movies. It's just that sometimes the [Name] in his head- his popular, flawless, gorgeous girlfriend- didn't always match up with the reality: that apparently he had a horror movie junkie as a girlfriend. They had been dating for an absurdly long amount of time for Makoto to have not picked up on this, but then again [Name] didn't seem to know that he was deathly afraid of anything even remotely scary, because of the traumas he experienced as a child, so he guessed they should have probably embraced the fact that they were still learning new things

Daddy!Teacher!Makoto x Mommy!Reader- Family
Setting up the Christmas tree. A tradition you've been doing since you were a child. You always loved to hang the Christmas ornaments all over the tree. Now, you continued that tradition with your children, who reminded you of yourself when you were little.
"Mommy~! Can I hang the bells on the tree?" (D/n) asked you with puppy dog eyes. You handed her the small ornaments and watched as she placed them carefully on the branches of the tree; the bells making a quiet chiming sound. (S/n) was busy helping Makoto wrap the silver tinsel around the large tree but somehow ended up getting himself wrapped in it instead.
After an hour or so, you stoo

More fluff. What even. Can be looked as a sequel to The First Time [Makoto x Reader], but can also be read as a standalone fic. c:
