Today is the day Yu will leave back for the city. His stay in Inaba has come to an end. Ever since everything returned back to normal and the Midnight Channel became no more, everyone's feelings were at ease; except for yours. Your heart isn't going to rest anytime soon, especially now that Yu is going home.

You're often at the Dojima residence, helping the family with their daily tasks. Being that you're Yu's girlfriend (and often partnered with him and both of your personas in the Midnight Channel), you're automatically thought of as another member of the household. You had opted to meet up with Yu at the train station instead as you're overwhelmed with the very thought of having to say 'goodbye' to help.

"Uwahh, that looks so yummy! Are you making spam musubi, big bro?" Nanako beams up at Yu, resting her hands at the counter.

"Yes, Nanako-chan. They're [First name]'s favorite," he smiles, prepping the last set of spam musubi.

"And here I was thinking you'd making something more intricate," Dojima teases, relaxing on the sofa. "Are you meeting up with [Last name]-chan in a bit?"

"Yeah," Yu simply replies, wrapping the bento in a cloth as he goes over to his duffle.

He almost stumbles forward, managing to catch his balance in time. He looks down, seeing a teary-eyed Nanako clinging onto him.

"Do you really have to go, big bro?" Nanako tearfully reaches up for her eyes.

Yu crouches down and gently pats Nanako's head, pulling her into a hug. "I'll try to visit."

"You will?!" she happily cries out. "I'll be so happy!"

"Yeah," he smiles, letting go before standing upright.

"Are you sure you don't need a ride to the station?" Dojima questions.

Yu shakes his head, "The taxi cab is already up front. I'll be fine."

"Give us a call when you get home," Dojima states, shaking Yu's hand.

Yu nods and and bows in response. "Of course, uncle. I will.

The ride to the train station ends up being smooth for Yu as he observes the clear blue sky. His departure from Inaba is going to be bittersweet as he anticipates the goodbyes he'll be sharing with his friends; most of all, he's worried about you.

You've been growing sad with each passing day, the X's marked on the calendar creeping up closer to today. An uneasy feeling stays in the pit of your stomach, worsening as you realize the time.

"Oh no..! I might not make it in time!" you cry out loud, rapidly running down the stairs as you grab your purse and keys. Your parents already left for work for the day so you try your best not to fumble as you slip on your shoes and lock the door.

"Yu, please wait for me!"

Despite all your efforts, you're too late.

The train departed only moments before you got a chance to say goodbye to your boyfriend. You find your friends watching the train leave as you arrive at the platform, dropping down to your knees. You reach up to your face with the sleeve of your jacket, sobbing into your arms at the missed opportunity give Yu a proper send-off.

"[First name]-chan, Yu-kun told us to give this to you," Yosuke sadly smiles, handing over the bento box. You nod as you tearfully accept the gift.

You bite your lip before suddenly bursting out into tears, your heartbreaking at the very thought your relationship with Yu had come to an end so abruptly without any formalities. You feel surrounding warmth as all of your friends enter a group hug with you; Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Naoto, and Teddie, all of whom spent the whole year with you and Yu on the Investigation Team.

Two Years Later...

You yawn to yourself and squint at your alarm clock on the nightstand.

"Ugh, eight o'clock in the morning, on a Saturday nonetheless..." you mumble to yourself.

You recently entered your second year of college. You live in the student apartments near your university in Tokyo, sacrificing studying in a rural area for life in a big city. The one thing as a small town girl you can never get used to is how fast the city minutes go by.

"I thought we were going out for breakfast."

You hear a chuckle near the doorway to your bedroom. You groan and pull the comforter up over your head, wanting to sleep in a bit more.

"Few more minutes, please..."

As you slowly drift off back to sleep, you feel movement on the other side of your bed. You smile as you inch closer to your boyfriend, resting your head underneath his chin.

"Having me spend the night after class was a bad idea. I'm going to end up being lazy in bed with you," Yu laughs, securing his hold on you by wrapping his arm around your shoulders.

"Now you're stuck with me. How about we do something for lunch instead? I'm too comfortable to move right now," you lean up and give Yu a short peck on the lips.

"Mhm," he's quick to respond by giving you a kiss in return. "Go back to sleep. I'll wake you up when it's time for us to get ready."

"Okay," you slur a bit, finding yourself drifting off back to sleep.

"By the way, [First name]..."

"Mmm, what is it Yu?" you yawn into his shirt.

"I still can't believe what you did 'that day',"  Yu hums, pushing back his head further against the pillow.

You grin and adjust yourself so Yu can see your face. "That was the best and worst thing I've ever done. I'll never forget it."

Yu gently smiles at you and holds you close against his body. "Yeah, me neither."

EPILOGUE;

Two years ago, day after Yu's departure from Inaba...

I can't believe I'm doing this. I spent so much money on the roundtrip tickets alone! What if I end up with no place to stay for the night? Crap, I didn't really think this through! you gulp, looking at the number in front of the apartment door.

You're ever so grateful that Yosuke managed to interrogate Yu for his home address, and now here you are, in the middle of Tokyo, trying to figure out where the hell he lives.

You form a fist in your hand and raise it, about to knock on the door.

"[First name]?"

You hear the familiar voice call out to you down the hall. You rest your arm and turn to face him.

"I didn't get a chance to say goodbye."

Yu walks over, disbelief evident as he's trying to understand why you traveled all the way to Tokyo. "You could've just called, y'know?"

"I know, but... I didn't want to part ways just like that. So how about we start at 'hello'?" you shakily reply, trying not to cry.

"Well... 'hello'', then. C'mon, let me introduce you to my parents."

You nod as he takes your hand in his. You're overwhelmingly pleased as you both enter his apartment, not ending what was almost a year's worth of development for your relationship.
I'M DUE. It's about time. I loved MC/Yu since P4 on the PS2, and after re-watching the anime not too long ago I was hit with all the feels. He's my fave from P4 //sobs I'm even playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night on the PS Vita on my commute to work. (I can't stand Golden and refuse to accept it as canon, lol. Don't mind me. orz||)
